Dean represented the Alliance of Small Island States in Copenhagen last December, a 42 member intergovernmental coalition including the Bahamas, Haiti, and Singapore all of which face extinction within this century if we can’t keep the surface temperature of the earth from rising 2.7 Farenheit. According to Refugees International, 50 million to 1 billion people could be displaced by climate change over the next 50 years.
